Getting Started

A 60-second orientation, then the in-app tour walks you through the rest.

Take the in-app tour

The fastest way to learn Flow is to let it walk you through itself.

The tour is a short guided sequence through Edge Builder, the Journal, Playbooks, and Prop Accounts — building real things along the way that you keep when you're done. Skip steps you don't need, finish later if you bail.

What Flow is

A trading journal built around the discipline of writing things down before, during, and after every trade.

Most journals are passive — you fill in fields after the fact and hope to spot patterns later. Flow flips that. You design the questions you want to answer at each phase of a trade, and the app asks them in the moment. The result is a journal that reflects your decisions, not just your results.

The 3-phase system

Every trade moves through three phases. Each phase has its own workflow steps — defined by you.

1Pre-Trade

Plan and check yourself before entry. Mental state, setup quality, position size, where you'd be wrong.

2Execution

Document the entry. Price, size, what's happening on the chart, what you're feeling.

3Post-Trade

Review and grade. What worked, what didn't, what you'd do differently next time.

You design the questions

The 3 phases are fixed. The questions inside them aren't. In the Edge Builder, you assemble workflows from presets — small reusable steps like “Did I confirm the trend?” or “How am I feeling?”. Build one workflow per strategy, swap between them as your style evolves.

Your path through Flow

Three primary surfaces. Two orbital ones. That's it.

Set up your workflow → log trades → review performance → tune the workflow

Two more concepts orbit those three:

  • Playbooks — your defined trading strategies. Tag trades with playbooks to see which setups actually pay off.
  • Prop Accounts — track evaluations, funded limits, withdrawals, and spend if you're trading on a prop firm.

Where to go next

Pick whichever is most relevant to where you are.
